What To Do With Unwanted Tattoos

There are two main options to choose from when it comes to deciding what to do with an unwanted tattoo.  The first option could be removal, which seems like the easiest option to most, although it is costly.  The other option would be to get your tattoo covered up.  This could be an easy or hard task.  It all depends on the size and ink color of the tattoo.

Choosing to get a tattoo removed is normally the more common option.  Many people who do not like their tattoo just want it removed, instead of getting another tattoo over it.  Laser tattoo removal is a fairly easy process.  You go in for 20 minute sessions every 6-8 weeks until your tattoo is removed.  If you are willing to spend the money, this is probably the route you will want to take.

People may also get laser tattoo removal if their tattoo is too large to cover up.  Many people might not want another huge tattoo in place of the original.

Other people choose to get their tattoo covered up.  This could be because they can’t afford laser tattoo removal or just because they still want a tattoo, just not the one they currently have.  If the tattoo is light enough, you should be able to get a new tattoo directly over it and have it completely covered.  If your tattoo is too dark, you may have to go through a few sessions of laser tattoo removal to lightening your tattoo.  This will assure your old tattoo will not be visible over the new one.

Each option is a great way to get rid of unwanted tattoos.  If you are debating between removal or a cover up, think about the pros and cons of each option and arrive at a decision.  If you decide laser tattoo removal is the right choice for you, click here to book a free consultation with us here at Ink Away.
