Another con is trying to find a tattoo artist that will want to tattoo your inner lip. There are artists that do not feel comfortable doing this because of the location of the tattoo and the bacteria and risks involved and they will turn you down. The risk of infection is also higher because of the bacteria found in your mouth.
Lip tattoos can be something to have fun with, but if you do decide to get a lip tattoo, there are precautions that you should take. You should rinse your mouth with mouth wash at least 4-5 times a day to keep the bacteria out. As long as you are careful and take good care of the tattoo while it is healing, many people enjoy having an inner lip tattoo.
